Career coaching

Trying to find career guidance, beyond the Foundation years in medicine, is not easy. Whilst I won’t tell you what career you should follow, I have been through the process myself and therefore know how much angst this can generate.

Parsons offered an approach to career choice as far back as 1909:

In the wise choice of vocation, there are three factors:
1. A clear understanding of yourself
2. A knowledge of the requirements and prospects in different lines of work
3. True reasoning on the relations of these two groups of facts.

You are the expert on you and your life. But sometimes it is a challenge to step back from this and see clearly where you are and where you want to be. As your coach, I believe you have all the resources within you to do whatever you want to do. Coaching will provide you with the time and space to become clear about what you want and how to achieve it.

Making decisions about your career is like taking a journey. With career coaching you decide where that journey will end but I will take the journey with you, encouraging you and challenging you all the way.
